The 3.7 new version of “Genshin Impact” titled “Duel! Summit of Summoners” is set to arrive on May 24th! Today, Chizi plans to delve into the game’s map, storyline, and characters (and popular internet phrases) to take you through the content of the 1.0 stage.

Upon entering the world of Tiavat, players arrive as strangers and witness a hero rescuing a damsel in distress – saving Paimon from drowning in the sea. In the 1.0 version, the game opened up the initial maps of Mendo and Liyue, as well as the main storyline of Mendo City and the first two chapters of Liyue’s storyline. The puzzles were relatively easy to solve.
In terms of characters, there were fourteen four-star characters and five five-star characters, with Xiangling being the most frequently used. Players gradually learned to explore the big world, use the wind glider, and utilize elemental reactions with the help of these characters. The opening PV for Wendigo, “The Winds of Four Directions,” featured Wendigo’s idleness in Mendo City, which led to the viral phrase “Get a job, Balthus” at launch.

The 1.1 version did not introduce new map areas, but it updated the final chapter of the Liyue storyline, completing the Liyue main storyline. At the end, Zhongli also revealed that the Roji was under a seal, setting the stage for future storylines. New characters like Dazhailia, Zhongli, Dioona, and Xinyan made their debut, earning Chizi a full score for this version.

The 1.2 version introduced the first map update, with the Dragonspine Mountains making their debut, connecting the northwest ruins of Liyue and the northwest valley of Mendo. It also introduced a new weather system,暴风雪 (暴风雪 means “snowstorm”). Aeveon and Gan Ning made their appearances, with the storyline centered around Aeveon’s legendary task, “The White Cretaceous Chapter.”

The 1.3 version introduced Liyue’s first major holiday, the Sea Lantern Festival. Players met Dinsrebus in the main storyline, and after unlocking the new character Xiguan’s legend task, they began the festival-related storyline. The internet meme “You’re also playing Genshin Impact?” originated from a special promotional video for the 1.3 version.

After the Sea Lantern Festival in Liyue, the Wind Cherry Festival in Mendo followed. On the narrative front, Dinsrebus revealed more secrets about Kannibi, and updated unfinished main storylines. Afterward, the Abyssal Beasts appeared, and players first witnessed their estranged brother, witnessing the reunion of siblings.

The 1.5 version introduced the “Pottery Pot” system, a new feature that gained immense popularity among players. Characters like Yu’na and Xingqiu made their debut, along with the opening of Zhongli’s legend task, Chapter 2, and Yu’na’s legend task, Chapter 1. The Pottery Pot home system allowed players to beautify their virtual environment and create their own homes.
